The Type I power plug and outlet are commonly used in Australia, New Zealand, China, and several Pacific island nations. The plug has a unique flat pin design, making it distinct from many other international plug types.

The Type I plug features three flat prongs: two angled live and neutral pins, and a vertical grounding pin. In some cases, an ungrounded version with only two pins is also available.
