Terms and conditions
Last updated 29 October 2026. By using this site you agree to these terms.
1. About this site
What Power Plug is an independent reference site describing the electrical supply standards of countries and territories: socket types, nominal voltage and frequency. It is published for general information only.
2. Affiliate links and disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may receive a small commission from the retailer at no extra cost to you. This is how the site is funded.
We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Affiliate links are marked as such where they appear. Commission never determines which products we list: products are chosen for suitability and reliability, and we state the limitations of each one — including when an adapter does not convert voltage and when a converter is not rated for a given appliance.
Prices, availability and product specifications are set by the retailer and can change at any time. Always check the current listing before buying.
3. No professional advice
The information on this site is not electrical, engineering or safety advice. We describe the nominal public supply standard; what is installed in a particular building may differ. Voltage mismatches can damage equipment and cause fire. Always check the label on your own device, use certified equipment, and consult a qualified electrician for fixed wiring or anything you are unsure about.
4. Accuracy and changes
We aim for accuracy and review the dataset periodically, but standards change and errors are possible. Where we know a country has several standards in circulation, we say so rather than presenting false precision. If you believe something is wrong, please tell us — corrections from residents are welcome and take priority.
5. Acceptable use
You may read, quote and link to this site freely. You may not scrape it at volume, republish substantial portions as your own, or use it to build a competing dataset without permission. Short quotations with a link back are always fine.
6. Intellectual property
The text, layout and illustrations on this site are ours unless stated otherwise. Product names, brands and photographs referenced in recommendations belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the products being discussed.
7. External links
We link to retailers and reference sources we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, prices, availability or privacy practices.
8. Limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from use of the site or reliance on its content, including damage to equipment or injury resulting from connecting a device to a supply it was not designed for. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Privacy
How we handle data, cookies and advertising is set out in the privacy policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows the current version; continued use after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
