Check your plugs before you fly

Cozumel uses Type A and Type B sockets at 120 V / 60 Hz. Pick the country you are travelling from to see exactly what you need.

Cozumel uses Type A and B sockets at 127 V / 60 Hz. US plugs fit; the island supply is stable but inverter-backed in places.

Power in Mexico comes mainly from natural gas, oil, hydro, wind. Grid reliability is described as moderate to good.

Good to know: Both 120/240 V split-phase and 127/220 V three-phase are used.

A travel adapter with Type A and Type B on the socket side.
A step-up transformer only if you are bringing 230 V appliances from Europe or Asia.
