Okinawa uses Type A and Type B sockets at 100 V / 50 Hz. Pick the country you are travelling from to see exactly what you need.

Okinawa uses the American-style Type A socket at 100 V / 60 Hz. US plugs fit, though the voltage is lower than in North America.

Power in Japan comes mainly from natural gas, coal, nuclear, renewables. Grid reliability is described as excellent.

Good to know: 100 V; 50 Hz in the east, 60 Hz in the west.
